Upon entering each Trial room, the Trialmaster will fill it with dangers to test your commitment. After each room, you have to make a choice. Take the rewards you’ve earned so far, or try again with higher stakes, increasing the rewards, but with more risk.
Expedition
Kalguurans settlers have discovered an ancient burial site with lost Verisium artifacts, and they want you to help dig up the artifacts—with explosives.
Kalguurans has marked the location where the relic can be found. Place explosives to dig up as much as possible. However, there’s a problem: corruption has resurrected the corpses of their ancestors, so you may have to clean up a bit before you can retrieve the artifact. You can also find Remnants, whose destruction will further anger restless spirits. Each one you destroy will make the next monster stronger, but also more profitable.
Rituals
Ritual Altars are places of sacrifice built by the Mysterious King in the Mist.
Altars rituals require sacrifice. Every monster you kill in the circle will feed the Altar. After the sacrifice, touch the altar to begin the ritual. The monster you just killed will be resurrected by the dark magic of the King in the Mist, and you must fight to survive.
The tribute you give to the altar can be used to purchase powerful items.
Delirium
Some maps have been infected by madness. A mysterious entity has taken a special interest in you. Step your foot through the mirror, and you will find your nightmares come true.
When you touch the Mirror, a mist of Delirium will spread throughout the area, infecting your mind. You have to stay in the fog to keep the nightmares at bay—which are both rewarding and terrifying. Each monster you kill will increase the rewards that drop. However, the deeper the fog you go, the stronger the monsters become. Be careful not to stay in it for too long.
Pinnacle
When mapping, you might come across a giant Fortress with pillars of fire and ash rising from underground. The fortress is surrounded by a huge maze filled with dangers.
Many mechanics will appear in the endgame area. As players progress, they will earn points to upgrade their skill tree, allowing them to customize their endgame experience. There’s still a lot to be revealed once players complete the story campaign.
Path of Exile 2 can be wishlisted for PC, Steam, PlayStation, Xbox, and the Epic Games Store. Early Access will launch simultaneously on all platforms on December 7, at 03:00 GMT+8.
